“Ais Kacang”, which literally translate to BEAN ICE, are also commonly known as ABC(Ais Batu Campur) here in Malaysia. Being one of the most famous local desserts, you can find them in almost all around Malaysia. Traditionally, an ice shaving machine is used to churn out the shave ice used in the dessert, but the making and different topping has also evolved over the years.
Your typical Ais Kacang is made of finely shaved ice, kidney beans, evaporated milk, condensed milk, roasted nuts, an array of flavored syrups and topped of with a scoop of ice cream. Each of the Ais Kacang spots we feature have had their own unique twist on the classic timeless representation of our favourite ice shaved dessert.
